Owl Release & Picnic

The most magical family event of the year is back! Join the Wildlife Care Association for an unforgettable afternoon in the beautiful Marjorie’s Garden at Heringer Estates. Together, we are celebrating local wildlife, community, and the majestic birds that keep our Sacramento Delta ecosystem thriving.
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to relax, enjoy local food vendors, and meet some of our resident non-releasable wildlife ambassadors up close! You can also support our mission by participating in our on-site raffle. The absolute highlight of the night happens at dusk, when we celebrate the grand finale: releasing beautifully rehabilitated owls back into the wild where they belong.
Every ticket purchased directly helps fund the care, medical treatment, and rehabilitation of thousands of local wild animals this year.
Event Details & Highlights
- When: Saturday, July 18th | 4:00 PM to Dusk (Owls will be released between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM)
- Where: Hosted by Heringer Estates Vineyards & Winery

- Food Vendor: Hot Dogger (featuring hot dogs, veggie dogs, and specialty sausages)
- Refreshments: Heringer Estates wines by the glass and wine slushies will be available for purchase!
Ticket Options
Tickets must be purchased in advance through our host, Heringer Estates. We cannot guarantee tickets will be available at the gate!
- Adult Ticket: $20 (Winery wine club discounts apply)
- Child Ticket (Ages 3–12): $8
- Little Ones (Ages 2 & under): Free
Important Guest Info
- Food & Drink: Outside food and picnic baskets are welcome! However, no outside alcohol is permitted.
- For Safety: Please leave pets at home. Tents, umbrellas, and grills are not allowed, and children must be supervised at all times.
- Refund Policy: Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the event. No refunds can be issued within 48 hours of the event. For ticket-specific questions, please contact events@heringerestates.com.
