Animal Care and Administrative Volunteers:
WCA requires a minimum commitment of 4 hours per week for a minimum of 48 hours over a 15-week period.
Transport, Facility Maintenance, and Other Project Volunteers:
WCA requires availability for 12+ hours a month for these volunteers. These types of volunteers are on an as-needed basis and will be contacted when a specific skill set is needed. These are typically flexible on hours and are ideal for individuals with ever-changing schedules but who would still like to devote time to WCA’s mission.
Hotlines and Intake Volunteers:
These positions require a 3-hour shift regular commitment for a minimum commitment of 48 hours over an 18-week period. Hotline shifts may be done remotely or in the facility. Intake shifts must be completed at the facility.
Age Requirement:
Our state and federal Fish and Wildlife permits limit the use of minors as volunteers within our facility. All Animal Care volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Administrative, Hotline, Intake, and other Project volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. For inquiries about opportunities for minors under 16 years of age, please email the volunteer coordinator at [email protected].
