ANIMAL INTAKE LOCATION

On weekends, the base sometimes locks the gates at the north end of Patrol Rd. The most reliable way to access Patrol Rd is via Winters St to Dean St, then follow the directions to WCA from there.

Please do not mail donations to this address. We do not receive mail here and it will be returned to you.

INTAKE HOURS

Intake Hours: Every Day, 8am – 6pm

Due to state and federal regulations, members of the public are not allowed beyond the intake area – facility tours are not given.

RESCUE INFORMATION

For information about sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife and rescue information, leave a message on WCA’s hotline at 916-965-9453 and a volunteer will return your call as soon as possible. You can also find rescue information in the Found Animal section of our website.

Place the animal in a box, put on a heating pad in half the box set on low, and place in a safe, quiet area away from drafts, children, pets, or any other loud/distracting noises. Do not give the animal food or water.
